70% of Solar Systems in Nigeria Are Incorrectly Sized

Two failure points dominate — and both trace back to the same root cause: sizing by guesswork instead of real load data.

System Trips & Shutdowns

Undersized inverters can't handle the surge current when your AC, fridge, or water pump starts up — causing repeated trips and blackouts right when you need power most.

🔋

Batteries Die Early

Undersized battery banks are discharged too deeply, too often. Lead-acid batteries rated for 5 years fail in 18 months. Lithium cells degrade faster than spec.

💸

Money Wasted on Guesswork

Nigerian homeowners spend ₦2–15M on solar systems sized by rules of thumb. When they fail, trust in solar energy as a whole takes the hit.

From Appliances to Exact System Spec

Four steps. Zero guesswork. A solar system sized by engineering — not assumptions.

1
📋

List Your Appliances

Tell us what you run at home — lights, fans, TV, fridge, AC, water pump, chargers — along with how many and how many hours per day each runs.

2
🏷️

Auto-Categorize Loads

Each appliance is classified as resistive (steady draw) or inductive (motor-driven, with startup surge). This is the step most installers skip.

3
🧠

Smart Load Analysis

Our engine calculates total daily energy, peak load, and surge requirements — factoring in simultaneous-use scenarios and inductive starting current.

4
📊

Get Your Exact Spec

Receive a precise recommendation: inverter size, battery bank capacity (lithium or lead-acid), and solar panel count — tailored to your actual usage.

● Resistive Load

Steady Power, No Surprises

Resistive loads draw constant power — what you see on the label is what the system needs to deliver. No startup surge, no hidden peaks. Simple to size, predictable to run.

⚠ Inductive Load

The Hidden System Killer

Motor-driven appliances draw 3–7× their rated power during startup. A 900W air conditioner can pull 3,150W for the first few seconds. If your inverter can't handle that surge, it trips — every single time.

Built Different. Sized Right.

What sets the Uzzina Smart Solar Sizing System apart from spreadsheets, guesswork, and generic online calculators.

Surge-Aware Sizing

We calculate startup surge current for every inductive appliance — something most sizing tools ignore. Your inverter won't trip when the AC kicks in.

🔬

Resistive vs Inductive Logic

Every appliance is auto-classified by load type. Motor-driven devices get surge multipliers; resistive loads are sized at face value. Engineering precision, zero effort.

🔋

Battery Chemistry Aware

Lead-acid and lithium batteries have different depth-of-discharge limits. We size your battery bank for the chemistry you're actually buying — not a generic "rule of thumb."

☀️

Region-Specific Solar Data

Panel count is calculated using real peak sun hours for your region — not a global average. More accurate array sizing means no shortfall and no overspend.

📐

Hardware-Matched Output

Recommendations snap to real inverter sizes available in the Nigerian market (1.5kVA, 3.5kVA, 5kVA, etc.). No theoretical numbers — actionable specs.

📄

Shareable Reports

Save or print your sizing results. Share with installers, compare quotes, or use as a baseline for your own procurement — all from one calculator session.
